I don’t want to talk about just the fabulousness, essentiality, and comfort of shoes without focusing on the health of the feet. It is important from a young age to get properly fitted shoes. One of my issues has always been finding shoes that are narrow enough (I have always worn a AAAA.). Make sure to not only properly fit the length but the width as well. Improper sizing can lead to more serious problems in the knees and hips as well as cause bunions, ingrown toenails, and hammer toes.
As we get older, it is quite important to pay attention to our feet as they will give us clues about our overall health. As pointed out in another posts, shoe size can change at any time (my feet grew a whole size after three children). It is recommended that if there is any discomfort in our feet that we see a podiatrist before things get worse.
